Join Our Team as a Warehouse Operative - Andover
Are you a motivated, reliable, and hands-on individual looking to make an impact in a dynamic engineering environment? Our client is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their friendly team in Andover on a long-term temporary basis.
Position Details
- Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour
- Contract:Temporary - ongoing, long-term opportunity
What You'll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:
- Picking and packingcustomer orders with accuracy and care
- Replenishing stockon shelves and racking to support daily operations
- Recording incoming deliveriesto maintain up-to-date inventory levels
- Booking stock and deliveriesusing our warehouse system (full training provided)
- Preparing and dispatching outgoing ordersthrough the required portals
- Maintaining a safe and organised workspace, following all health and safety procedures
- Operating warehouse equipmentsuch as pallet trucks and forklifts (if qualified)
- Supporting general warehouse dutiesand contributing to a positive team environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skillsand a proactive team player attitude
- Good numerical and literacy skillsfor accurate record-keeping
- Excellent attention to detailand commitment to high standards
- Computer literate- able to learn and use warehouse systems confidently
- A valid forklift licenceis desirable but not required
